CoreCommerce Review
CoreCommerce is an ecommerce solution that has operated by Sum Effect Software since 2008 from their Franklin, Tennessee offices. Over 13,000 stores worldwide use CoreCommerce as their shopping cart management software, the majority of which are small to medium sized businesses. Noteworthy clients include Clear Channel Radio, GE, Thomas Nelson Publishers, and Michigan State.
CoreCommerce was designed to be an all inclusive hosted software package, instead of simply giving you software to install on your server you are actually receiving web hosting service through web hosting industry leader Rackspace. This means that everything you need to start your ecommerce site can be done right through CoreCommerce, including a domain name, hosting, ability to accept credit cards, design your site, write content, etc.
This software is specifically designed to make it possible for entrepreneurs and small business owners to be able to start an ecommerce store without requiring a web design background. There is definitely a learning curve, it will probably at least take a week or two to get used to it, but overall it is very straightforward to use and it is one of those things that requires minimal effort once it is up and running. The real effort will come with finding ways to market your business and ensure that you are able to ship out products efficiently.

The logic behind this service is that you don’t have to time to spend setting up your own server, designing your own website, and then finding an efficient way to turn it into a working storefront. This isn’t created for a Fortune 100 company, they have their own IT departments to manage such things, this is a shortcut for the average small business owner to have a professional website that they can use to sell products to their customers and keep their customers engaged.

CoreCommerce Facebook
With their Facebook and Twitter integration CoreCommerce is making it very easy for small businesses to get in touch with customers in ways that never would have been possible 5-10 years ago. The ability to allow your customers to share your content and product pages with their friends on Facebook or Twitter means that if your customers like your products they can actually help promote them for you in the newest form of word of mouth advertising. This shopping cart software automatically optimizes your site so that it can show up in search results for companies such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. to get traffic from people looking to buy what you are selling.
CoreCommerce Review
This company follows different marketing and social trends and applies them to making new features, with a new feature release every 2-3 weeks typically. I have tested out this software using their free trial and even without my web background I can say that it would be quite easy to figure out. I was impressed with their inventory management system, as someone who worked extensively with inventory databases I can tell you that an automated solution will make your business far better organized.
Not only was it easy to use, but I saw the potential in expanding a small to medium sized business by using this software. It makes it very easy to customize the site to your needs, while giving you the ability to market it to new customers and take advantage of recent trends. By seeing exactly what items you are selling the most of, you can optimize your company to specialize in whatever goods seem to be doing the best online. Since it now allows for the sale of digital products you could even start a business for an expanding niche such as an e-book store.

I would highly recommend CoreCommerce, and I have actually told a few of my business contacts about this service to recommend it to their own clients. It will take some time to get it set up exactly as you want it, but once it is it could open up many doors for your business. Their pricing plans are very flexible, starting at $20/month, which allows for even the smallest business to start their own store and as they expand their pricing plans expand as well.
Free Trial – Create Your Own eCommerce Store
They have a 15-day free trial that allows you to test out most of the features of CoreCommerce before you buy it, the sign up banner is below. Their free trial does not require a credit card to signup, just fill out the form on their site. I would recommend giving it a test before you buy to see how it can fit into your business’s needs.
