After using Volusion for a while I can say that it is the easiest to use of the ecommerce solutions that I have reviewed for this website. After playing with BigCommerce, CoreCommerce, Volusion, and osCommerce it seems to have the best way to go about changing the designs and other initial set up time. It took me about half an hour to have a relatively functional web store set up. The design interface is great as you can do many things on the front-end, for example you look at your homepage and if you see an image you don’t like simply click on it while logged in as an administrator and change it to another option or upload your own image.

Volusion comes with many features that comparable solutions are lacking, such as an integrated affiliate program, email marketing system, and drag and drop design. The mixture of features from hosting to credit card processing means that the only costs for your business will be within the Volusion system; many competitors are similarly priced but don’t include features such as email marketing, which I know from experience can cost $20-150/month or more.
The main result of my Volusion review is that you are getting a good value for your money with this service. The costs of using this service are minimal in the context of most businesses that will use it. The pricing plans scale to meet the needs of the customer, and even the smallest online business should be able to eat $29/month for a fully functioning web store.
